Stroke 03 - Urban Art Fair
The STROKE.ARTFAIR is the worlds first artfair dedicated to the artistic developments of many diverse subcultural influences throughout the last 30 years, such as Streetart, Graffiti, Low-Brow, Illustration, Skateboard Art and many more - subsumed under the term of Urban Art.
To regard the dynamic aspects of the whole movement - the artfair is conceived as a wandering project and will implement various other projects in the near future.
Munich as the prelude of all activities represents the basecamp for the STROKE.ARTFAIR. Berlin - without any doubt - is one of the most important cities for art and cultural development worldwide.
Every autumn Berlin turns into a mekka for artcritics, collectors and artlovers worldwide. To introduce the STROKE.ARTFAIR to an international audience, we decided to bring the success-story from Munich to Berlin, to show once more, that Urban Art is not just any other hype.

MuralismoMorte - new book out now !
Muralismo Morte - The Rebirth of Muralism in Contemporary Urban Art reveals the vibrancy of a new type of muralism as it rises from the shadows of urban spaces in metropolises worldwide. From much celebrated pieces in prominent places to those hidden in anonymous, decayed ruins, it features the large-scale murals and small interventions of some of the most exciting international artists associated with this movement.
Muralist and art activist Jens Besser uncovers these treasures and offers special insights into the emerging scene that is coloring our urban experience.
Artists: Roa, Remed, Klub 7, Aec & Waone (Interesni Kazik), Blu, Os Gemeos, Escif, Jens Besser, BerlinBeamBoys, Sonice Development, 3ttman, Kain Logos and many more.

Author: Faile
Release: August 2010
Price: € 44,00

The Brooklyn-based artists Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller began their prolific collaboration as Faile in 1999 by creating street art in New York City and beyond.
During the decade that followed, Faile have established themselves as the leading figures in the genre of urban art.
This book is the first comprehensive collection of Faile’s visually omnivorous print-making technique spanning the last decade.
Their work can be seen both as a reinvention of the pop and classic American collage traditions, and an artistic vision of the fragmented, interconnected 21st century.

Subliminal Projects by Shepard Fairey
We are pleased to announce "Subliminal Projects" latest exhibition entitled, PRINTED MATTERS, printed works by Shepard Fairey. Printed Matters will be an exhibition that incorporates every varitey of Shepard's printed work, including prints on wood, metal, album cover and fine art collage on paper.
Some people say print is on its way out, that it will be wiped out by digital media, but I say you can never replace the provocative, tactile experience of an art print on the street or in a gallery. Printing still matters.
-Shepard
Opening Reception
