PEPINO and GALO

The GALO Art Gallery BIG Opening

The Galo Art Gallery in Torino, Italy is a place where art and people come together.
The goal of the gallery is to have an interaction between artist and art lovers.
There are no limits in the Galo Art Gallery, the space will become one with whatever artist is going to be exhibiting.
Everyone has heard of the word "Street Art" and may be familiar with this term, but since the word first came on to the art scene years ago street art has evolved to many different mediums, on and off the streets.
Galo, the gallery owner and curator has been working in the art field as an artist since more than ten years.
He has done solo shows as well as collective shows with some of the world’s most famous artist of this period.
With all the knowledge and art connections Galo has made in the past he will create and curate his Gallery as a space likeable for artist to express themselves and show their art and work to the public.
The Galo Art Gallery will be persistent and continue to show the legendary artists as well as the new and upcoming artist of our time.
Every show will have exclusive works made by each artist for the Galo Art Gallery. The world we live in is constantly changing and we would like to think that the gallery and the art in it is evolving with the rest of the movements we find around the world as well as remembering and showing the art of great artists that helped inspire the young artists of today.

PAO : MondoTondo

20 MAGGIO – 4 LUGLIO 2010

Detuschland 2009
more infomation: http://bit.ly/bdLLpZ
With Swoon, Princess Hijab, Brad Downey, Blek le Rat, Nomad, ZASD, Mischa Most, Igor P.
"Reclaim the Streets“ is one of the strongest motives of Street Art: th...e regaining of the street to mix up its uniformedly ordered face. Street Art – The Ephemeral Rebellion is a character driven documentary with a factual yet open focus to spontaneous events. The film‘s aim is to compose an eclectic image of the phenomenon of contemporary street art through the eyes of its creators and those who discover, collect and love it. Anne Bürger and Benjamin Cantu visited cities around the world to emphasize the global impact of this truly political art form.

STRADA FACENDO 2010 : Re-Writing@Circolo Culturale Amantes

Letter from Elisa Carmichael

Dear Reader,
Thank you so much for your support of The Art Street Journal. We have really enjoyed putting it together and mailing it out to you each month. It has been a busy, exciting experience thus far and we hope you’ve enjoyed being a part of it with us.
I’m writing to let you know about our plans to expand what we are currently doing. We had always planned to shift our focus at some point from a monthly newspaper to a quarterly, full length magazine and are now beginning to make that step. The first issue of the magazine will launch in September. Whilst it will include many of the same features as the tasj newspaper, the magazine’s full color pages will be filled with more comprehensive interviews, articles and images than before.
If you are already subscribed to our mailing list or are a current tasj distributor, you don’t have to do anything to receive the new tasj magazine. You will receive it in the mail for free just as you did the newspaper.
If you are interested in distributing, writing for or advertising in the new tasj, please let us know and we will send you more information.
Thanks and hope you like it when it arrives! Don’t hesitate to contact me in the meantime if you have any questions!
Elisa Carmichael

ROA@Pure Evil Gallery

Solo Exhibition at Pure Evil Gallery 8th APRIL – 2nd MAY 2010
ROA’s eagerly anticipated UK solo debut opens in London this spring to exhibit his unique portrayal of large scale urban wildlife, disquietly cohabiting city streets, hand painted in his distinctive black and white style.
ROA started painting abandoned buildings and warehouses in the isolated industrial outskirts of his hometown - Ghent, Belgium. Fixating on the animals he found there; the wildlife became the central subject matter of his work, inspired by their clever ability to adapt into scavengers in order to survive. He used the dilapidated, coarse interiors and exteriors of the unyielding landscape as a canvas to portray his large-scale creatures.

STRADA FACENDO 2010 : Iabo

Elusive. If there is an adjective that describes Iabo, this is the most appropiate.
He escapes, maybe, because his background as a writer, he transformed this into a virtue. Hates to be labeled ( don't even try it), you would have an enemy.
You cannot catch him, like an energetic flow.
To define him whit a "synthetic visual" artist equals to confine his most pure nature. He his a chameleon, metamorphic divulgator, totally devoted to the orizontal and democratic dialecitc.
For Iabo, art is ecology, as recycling of creativ resources. Conscious of the impossibility of adding something original, he decides to explore instead of inventing.
